Page 1 - 132LR1993(01)1 2 Community Development, Housing Opportunity Program, referred to in this resolve as "the 3 program," shall convene a working group to examine and recommend solutions for 4 regulatory barriers to housing construction in this State. The working group must be 5 administered by the program and must include, but is not limited to, individuals and 6 representatives of organizations with building and engineering expertise. 7 8 shall submit a report, including the findings and recommendations of the working group 9 under section 1, as well as any proposed legislation, to the Joint Standing Committee on 10 Housing and Economic Development. After reviewing the report, the committee may 11 report out legislation related to the report to the Second Regular Session of the 132nd 12 Legislature. 13 14 This resolve directs the Department of Economic and Community Development, 15 Housing Opportunity Program to convene a working group to examine and recommend 16 solutions for regulatory barriers to housing construction in this State. The working group 17 must be administered by the program and must include, but is not limited to, individuals 18 and representatives of organizations with building and engineering expertise. On or before 19 December 31, 2025, the program must submit a report, including the findings and 20 recommendations of the working group, as well as any proposed legislation, to the Joint 21 Standing Committee on Housing and Economic Development.
