Page 1 - 132LR1600(01) 1 2 is enacted to read: 3 4 The 2nd full week in May of each year is designated as Dark Sky Week to celebrate 5 the dark skies of the State and to bring attention to the effects of artificial light on spring 6 bird migration and the importance of curbing artificial light pollution. The Governor shall 7 issue annually a proclamation inviting and urging citizens and schools to observe this week 8 with appropriate activities and study. 9 10 This bill establishes the 2nd full week in May of each year as Dark Sky Week. 10
