Page 1 - 132LR0819(01) 1 2 as amended by PL 2019, c. 391, ยง4, is further 3 amended by amending subparagraph (4) to read: 4 (4) International Energy Conservation Code published by the International Code 5 Council, including Appendix CB of the 2021 edition of the code for the 6 construction of new commercial buildings as defined by the board; 7 In adopting rules to define "new commercial buildings" in 8 the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 10, section 9722, subsection 6, paragraph B, 9 subparagraph (4), the Technical Building Codes and Standards Board shall exclude 10 commercial buildings that have received all necessary permits and approvals before July 1, 11 2026 and any buildings that receive funding from the Maine State Housing Authority. 12 13 This bill requires the Technical Building Codes and Standards Board to ensure that the 14 Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code includes standards for the construction of new 15 commercial buildings contained in Appendix CB of the 2021 edition of the International 16 Energy Conservation Code published by the International Code Council.
