Page 1 - 132LR0099(01) 1 2 as amended by PL 2023, c. 671, ยง1, is further 3 amended to read: 4 5 a portion thereof, that fully or partially abuts water to the head of tide or land located in the 6 intertidal zone that is used primarily or used predominantly to provide access to or support 7 the conduct of commercial fishing activities. "Working waterfront land" also includes a 8 wharf or pier used primarily or used predominantly by persons engaged in commercial 9 fishing activities that include, including, but not limited to, berthing and storage of a boat 10 and the location of small fishing houses for commercial fishing gear maintenance and 11 storage of commercial fishing gear. For purposes of this subchapter, a parcel is deemed to 12 include a unit of real estate notwithstanding the fact that it is divided by a road, way, 13 railroad or pipeline. 14 15 This bill amends the definition of "working waterfront land" in the laws governing the 16 current use valuation of working waterfront land by removing from the definition wharves 17 and piers used primarily or used predominantly by persons engaged in commercial fishing 18 activities. 15 16 17 18
