2 as amended by PL 2021, c. 398, Pt. 
3 MMMM, §4, is further amended to read:
4 U.  To a panel coordinator of the maternal, fetal and infant mortality review panel 
5 pursuant to section 261, subsection 4, paragraph  for the purposes of reviewing 
6 health care information of a deceased person and a mother of a child who died within 
7 one year of birth, including fetal deaths after 28 weeks of gestation.  For purposes of 
8 this paragraph, "panel coordinator" has the same meaning as in section 261, subsection 
9 1, paragraph E and "deceased person" has the same meaning as in section 261, 
10 subsection 1, paragraph B; and
11 as enacted by PL 2021, c. 398, Pt. 
12 MMMM, §5, is amended to read:
13 V.  To a panel coordinator of the Aging and Disability Mortality Review Panel pursuant 
14 to section 264, subsection 5, paragraph B, subparagraph (4) for the purposes of 
15 reviewing health care information of an adult receiving services who is deceased, in 
16 accordance with section 264, subsection 5, paragraph A. For purposes of this 
17 paragraph, "panel coordinator" has the same meaning as in section 264, subsection 2, 
18 paragraph B. ; and
19 is enacted to read:
20 W.  To employees of the department for the purpose of coordinating health care of an 
21 individual who has not attained 18 years of age and is in the department's custody 
22 pursuant to chapter 1071.

24 This bill extends to employees of the Department of Health and Human Services the 
25 permission to obtain confidential health care information for the purpose of coordinating 
26 health care for a minor in the department's custody.
