HOUSE BILL NO. 4740 A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 107c. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 107c. Beginning January 1, 2024, the department shall suspend the 5-year waiting period for immigrant children and pregnant people who are otherwise eligible to enroll in Medicaid or the MI Child program. The department shall extend Medicaid or MI Child coverage to children up to 21 years of age and to pregnant people regardless of whether they have lived in the United States for less than 5 years.
