11 HOUSE BILL NO. 4827 A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," (MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 222b. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 222b. If a prosecuting attorney charges an individual with a violation of this chapter, or any other violation of the laws of this state, a conviction for which would result in the individual being prohibited from possessing a firearm, the prosecuting attorney shall not amend the charge in a manner that would allow the individual to legally possess a firearm if a conviction for the amended charge would not prohibit the individual from possessing a firearm. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
