(2) A person that does either of the following is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or both: (a) Knowingly violates or causes a violation of subsection (1) with the intent to avoid disclosure or identification of a public record in response to a request for a public record under this act. (b) Knowingly creates for, or transmits to, a public body a writing that contains concealing content as described in subsection (1) with the intent that the writing avoid being disclosed or identified in response to a request for a public record under this act. | |
