(1) A corrections officer may obtain any license under this part for which a lottery is not required at no cost upon presentation to a licensing agent of the corrections officer's employee identification or other evidence acceptable to the department. The license is valid during the season in which that license would otherwise be valid. (2) As used in this section, "corrections officer" means a state correctional officer as that term is defined in section 2 of the correctional officers' training act of 1982, 1982 PA 415, MCL 791.502. Enacting section 1.
