11 HOUSE BILL NO. 5639 A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," (MCL 722.111 to 722.128) by adding section 12a. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 12a. (1) No later than 90 days after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, the department shall establish a process by which a licensee may request a review and appeal of a determination by the department that the licensee violated a rule promulgated under this act and the violation does not result in a denial, revocation, or refusal to renew the licensee's license under this act or an injunction under section 13. (2) The process established under subsection (1) must be in writing and posted publicly on the department's website.
