HOUSE BILL NO. 5748 A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, entitled "Michigan employment security act," (MCL 421.1 to 421.75) by adding section 19b. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 19b. Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, an employer's contribution rate as of January 1, 2024 must not be increased if the employer, on or after April 3, 2024, laid off employees because of avian influenza in poultry or livestock.
