(3) If the department increases fees under subsection (2), the increase is effective for that fiscal year. The department shall use the increased fees as the basis for calculating fee increases in subsequent fiscal years. (4) By August 1 of each year the department shall provide to the director of the department of technology, management, and budget and the chairpersons of the appropriations committees of the senate and house of representatives a complete schedule of fees to be collected under subsection (1) for the following fiscal year. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 5403 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
