HOUSE BILL NO. 4223 A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled "The revised school code," (MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1308g. the people of the state of michigan enact: Sec. 1308g. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, the governing body of a public school or nonpublic school shall develop or adopt, and implement, a school safety and security training plan that ensures that school resource officers placed in the public school or nonpublic school, school safety or security personnel who work at or for the public school or nonpublic school, and all school staff of the public school or nonpublic school complete the training described in section 1308f. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 4228(request no. H00086'25) of the 103rd Legislature is enacted into law.
