33 1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
44 1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA ENERGY ALLEY.​
55 1.5 Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, subdivision 1, paragraph (j),​
66 1.6$5,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the renewable development account in​
77 1.7the special revenue fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, subdivision 1, to the​
88 1.8commissioner of commerce for a grant to Clean Energy Economy Minnesota for the​
99 1.9Minnesota Energy Alley initiative to secure the state's energy and economic development​
1010 1.10future. The money from the grant may be used to establish and support the initiative, provide​
1111 1.11seed funding for businesses, develop a training and development program, support​
1212 1.12recruitment of entrepreneurs to Minnesota, and secure funding from federal programs and​
1313 1.13corporate partners to establish a self-sustaining, long-term revenue model. This is a onetime​
1414 1.14appropriation.​
