1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a pedestrian and bicycle
1.3 trail segment in the city of Arden Hills; authorizing the sale and issuance of state
1.4 bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. ARDEN HILLS; OLD HIGHWAY 10 TRAIL.
1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$1,650,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
1.8to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the city of Arden Hills for property and
1.9easement acquisition and construction of a pedestrian and bicycle trail along Old Highway
1.1010 North, from Lake Valentine Road to Lakeshore Place, to connect to the existing regional
1.11trail along County State-Aid Highway 96. This appropriation also includes money for a
1.12boardwalk required by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service over a wetland space in
1.13the project area.
1.14 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
1.15proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.16the state in an amount up to $1,650,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.17prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.18Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
