1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to public safety; establishing the state fire marshal account; appropriating
1.3 money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 299M.10.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 299M.10, is amended to read:
1.6 299M.10 MONEY CREDITED TO GENERAL FUND.
1.7 The fees and penalties collected under this chapter, except as provided in section
1.8299M.07, must be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the general fund. Money
1.9received by the State Fire Marshal Division in the form of gifts, grants, reimbursements, or
1.10appropriation from any source for the administration of this chapter must also be deposited
1.11in the state treasury and credited to the general fund. state fire marshal account, which is
1.12established in the special revenue fund. Money in the state fire marshal account is annually
1.13appropriated to the commissioner of public safety to administer the programs under this
1.14chapter.
