55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 84.922, subdivision 5, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subd. 5.Fees.(a) Except as provided in paragraph (d), the fee for a three-year registration​
88 1.8of an all-terrain vehicle under this section, other than those registered by a dealer or​
99 1.9manufacturer under paragraph (b) or (c), is:​
1010 1.10 (1) for public use, $60;​
1111 1.11 (2) for private use, $6; and​
1212 1.12 (3) for a duplicate or transfer, $4.​
1313 1.13 (b) The total registration fee for all-terrain vehicles owned by a dealer and operated for​
1414 1.14demonstration or testing purposes is $50 per year. Dealer registrations are not transferable.​
1515 1.15 (c) The total registration fee for all-terrain vehicles owned by a manufacturer and operated​
1616 1.16for research, testing, experimentation, or demonstration purposes is $150 per year.​
1717 1.17Manufacturer registrations are not transferable.​
1818 1.18 (d) A veteran with a total service-connected disability is exempt from the registration​
1919 1.19fee under paragraph (a) and must be issued a three-year registration free of charge. For​
2020 1.20purposes of this paragraph, "veteran with a total service-connected disability" means a​
2121 1.21veteran, as defined in section 197.447, who provides satisfactory evidence to the​
2222 1.22commissioner demonstrating that the veteran has received a 100 percent total and permanent​
