1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Innovation Hub in the
1.3 city of Shakopee.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; INNOVATION HUB.
1.6 $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Shakopee to design,
1.8construct, furnish, and equip the Innovation Hub, which will serve as a regional workforce
1.9training and entrepreneur incubator facility. This appropriation is onetime and is available
1.10until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
