1.2 relating to environment; declaring Minnesota to be a mining-friendly state;
1.3 amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 93.001.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 93.001, is amended to read:
1.6 93.001 MINNESOTA IS A MINING-FRIENDLY STATE; POLICY FOR
1.7MINERAL DEVELOPMENT .
1.8 Minnesota is a mining-friendly state. It is the policy of the state to provide for the
1.9diversification of the state's mineral economy through long-term support of mineral
1.10exploration, evaluation, environmental research, development, production, and
1.11commercialization.
