| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 168.013, is amended by adding a subdivision |

|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1.8 Subd. 1n.Disabled veterans.For a vehicle owned by a disabled veteran, the tax imposed |

| 9 | 9 | | 1.9by subdivision 1a must be reduced so that the owner pays a percentage of that tax amount |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10that corresponds with the veteran's disability rating percentage as determined by the United |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11States Department of Veterans Affairs. Only one vehicle at a time per owner is eligible for |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12this reduction. |

| 13 | 13 | | 1.13 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 168.013, subdivision 8, is amended to read: |

| 15 | 15 | | 1.15services operating account.(a) Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, the net proceeds |

| 17 | 17 | | 1.17paid into the state treasury, and credited to the highway user tax distribution fund. |

| 18 | 18 | | 1.18 (b) All fees collected under this chapter, unless otherwise specified, must be deposited |

| 19 | 19 | | 1.19in the driver and vehicle services operating account under section 299A.705. |

| 20 | 20 | | 1.20 (c) By July 15 of each fiscal year, the commissioner of management and budget must |

| 21 | 21 | | 1.21transfer from the general fund to the highway user tax distribution fund an amount equal to |
