44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. [462.3655] MINIMUM PARKING MANDATES PROHIBITED.​
66 1.6 (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, home rule charter, or ordinance to the​
77 1.7contrary, a political subdivision shall not impose minimum parking mandates for residential,​
88 1.8commercial, or industrial properties within its jurisdiction.​
99 1.9 (b) For purposes of this section, "minimum parking mandate" means a law, rule, or​
1010 1.10ordinance that specifies a minimum number of off-street motor vehicle parking spaces,​
1111 1.11including within a garage or other enclosed area, except that additional disability parking​
1212 1.12spaces may be required to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.​
1313 1.13 (c) This section does not prohibit a political subdivision from passing an ordinance under​
1414 1.14section 169.346, subdivision 4, related to disability parking spaces.​
1515 1.15 (d) This section does not prohibit a political subdivision from offering a nonbinding​
1616 1.16recommendation for a property within its jurisdiction to provide a specified number of​
1717 1.17parking spaces.​
