| 5 | 5 | | 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 297H.13, subdivision 2, is amended to read: |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 Subd. 2.Allocation of revenues.(a) Of the amounts remitted under this chapter, 70 |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8percent must be credited to the environmental fund established in section 16A.531, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9subdivision 1. |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10 (b) In addition to the amounts credited to the environmental fund in paragraph (a), in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11fiscal year 2024 and later, three percent of the amounts remitted under this chapter the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12following amounts shall be deposited into the resource management account in the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1.13environmental fund: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1.14 (1) in fiscal year 2026, seven percent of the amounts remitted under this chapter; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 1.15 (2) in fiscal year 2027, 20 percent of the amounts remitted under this chapter; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1.16 (3) in fiscal year 2028 and later, 30 percent of the amounts remitted under this chapter. |

| 17 | 17 | | 1.17 (c) The remainder, through fiscal year 2027, must be deposited into the general fund. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 1.18 (d) Beginning in fiscal year 2024 and annually thereafter, The money deposited in the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 1.19resource management account in the environmental fund under paragraph (b) is appropriated |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 1.20to the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency for distribution to counties under |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 1.21section 115A.557, subdivision 2, paragraph (a), clauses (1) to (7) and (9) to (11). |
