1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for multifamily housing with
1.3 supportive services and child care center in the city of Cosmos.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ASSISTED LIVING AND CHILD CARE CENTER
1.6IN COSMOS.
1.7 $6,800,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.8of employment and economic development for a grant to ANZ Inc. to design, construct,
1.9renovate, furnish, and equip a multifamily housing facility at 130 Neptune Street North in
1.10the city of Cosmos, to provide supportive services for senior citizens and a child care center
1.11for children not yet in kindergarten, and an after-school and weekend programming facility
1.12for school-aged children. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is
1.13completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
