1.2 relating to environment; appropriating money for a water quality improvement
1.3 project in Rice County and extending a previous appropriation for that purpose.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; FRENCH LAKE WATER-QUALITY
1.6IMPROVEMENT .
1.7 $....... in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.8the Pollution Control Agency for a grant to Rice County to address water-quality concerns
1.9at French Lake. Rice County may use this grant to contract for water-quality improvement
1.10services, testing, necessary infrastructure, training, and maintenance.
1.11 Sec. 2. APPROPRIATION EXTENSION; FRENCH LAKE WATER-QUALITY
1.12IMPROVEMENT GRANT.
1.13 The availability of the grant to Rice County to address water-quality concerns at French
1.14Lake under Laws 2023, chapter 60, article 1, section 2, subdivision 2, paragraph (m), is
1.15extended to June 30, 2027.
1.16 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
