44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. VETERANS RESILIENCE PROJECT; APPROPRIATION.​
66 1.6 (a) $400,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $400,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
77 1.7the general fund to the commissioner of veterans affairs for a grant to the veterans resilience​
88 1.8project. Grant money must be used to make eye movement desensitization and reprocessing​
99 1.9therapy available to veterans, veterans' spouses, current military service members, and​
1010 1.10current military service members' spouses who are suffering from post-traumatic stress​
1111 1.11disorder and trauma. The base for this appropriation is $400,000 in fiscal year 2028 and​
1212 1.12each year thereafter.​
1313 1.13 (b) The veterans resilience project must report to the commissioner of veterans affairs​
1414 1.14and the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction​
1515 1.15over veterans affairs policy and finance by January 15 of each year on the program. The​
1616 1.16report must include an overview of the program's budget, a detailed explanation of program​
1717 1.17expenditures, the number of veterans and service members served by the program, and a​
1818 1.18list and explanation of the services provided to program participants.​
