1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to The Bridge for
1.3 Youth.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. THE BRIDGE FOR YOUTH.
1.6 $....... in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.7employment and economic development for a grant to The Bridge for Youth for land
1.8acquisition and to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a new multiuse facility
1.9in Hennepin County. The new facility shall include youth program and recreational space,
1.10administrative and program office space, and up to 40 new units of transitional and affordable
1.11housing and emergency shelter space for unaccompanied homeless youth and young families
1.12experiencing homelessness. This appropriation is available until the project is completed
1.13or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime
1.14appropriation.
1.15 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
