1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money to Kids in Need Foundation
1.3 for a school supply distribution and educator resource center.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. KIDS IN NEED FOUNDATION.
1.6 $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to the Kids in Need Foundation, a
1.8501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, to acquire property for a school supply distribution and
1.9educator resource center in the city of Little Canada to support underserved students and
1.10teachers throughout Minnesota. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the
1.11project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
