1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to governmental operations; directing the commissioner of Minnesota IT
1.3 Services to integrate the transit assistance program into the Minnesota benefits
1.4 web portal; appropriating money.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. INTEGRATING THE TRANSIT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM INTO THE
1.7MINNESOTA BENEFITS WEB PORTAL.
1.8 No later than December 31, 2025, the commissioner of Minnesota IT Services, in
1.9consultation with Metro Transit and the commissioners of transportation; human services;
1.10and children, youth, and families, shall fully integrate the transit assistance program
1.11administered by Metro Transit into the Minnesota benefits web portal. Metro Transit and
1.12the Metropolitan Council shall continue to process applications for the transit assistance
1.13program after integration into the Minnesota benefits web portal.
1.14 Sec. 2. APPROPRIATION; TRANSIT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM INTEGRATION
1.15INTO THE MINNESOTA BENEFITS WEB PORTAL.
1.16 $....... in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.17Minnesota IT Services to fully integrate the transit assistance program administered by
1.18Metro Transit into the Minnesota benefits web portal.
