1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to housing; appropriating money for the Greater Minnesota Housing
1.3 Infrastructure program; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. GREATER MINNESOTA HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE.
1.6 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$4,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is transferred from the
1.7bond proceeds fund to the housing development fund. $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is
1.8appropriated from the housing development fund to the commissioner of the Minnesota
1.9Housing Finance Agency for the Greater Minnesota Housing Infrastructure grant program
1.10under Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.395.
1.11 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money transferred in this section from the bond
1.12proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.13the state in an amount up to $4,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.14prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.15Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.16 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
