55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. JACKSON AREA RECREATION CENTER.​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$3,695,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund​
88 1.8to the commissioner of employment and economic development for one or more grants to​
99 1.9Independent School District No. 2895, Jackson County Central; the city of Jackson, or both,​
1010 1.10to design, construct, renovate, furnish, and equip improvements of a capital nature to the​
1111 1.11Jackson Area Recreation Center in the city of Jackson. This appropriation includes money​
1212 1.12for major projects to preserve or replace mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems;​
1313 1.13accessibility improvements compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act; remodeling​
1414 1.14of interior spaces, including the sauna, spa, and aquatic amenity areas, and associated​
1515 1.15changing areas and bathrooms; and site renovations to support ongoing operations.​
1616 1.16 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1717 1.17proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of​
1818 1.18the state in an amount up to $3,695,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect​
1919 1.19prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota​
2020 1.20Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
2121 1.21 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
