55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; REPORT REQUIRED.​
77 1.7 $....... in fiscal year 2026 and $....... in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the general​
88 1.8fund to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to provide​
99 1.9hospital, medical, and dental benefits coverage to part-time or adjunct faculty who teach​
1010 1.10six or more credits in an academic year and currently are not offered hospital, medical, and​
1111 1.11dental benefits. This appropriation is also to collect data on participation that will allow for​
1212 1.12a more accurate estimate of the cost of this coverage on an ongoing basis. This is a onetime​
1313 1.13appropriation. The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities must​
1414 1.14submit a report with collected data on participation and estimates of the cost for ongoing​
1515 1.15coverage to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with​
1616 1.16primary jurisdiction over higher education by November 1, 2027.​
