1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a Hmong Cultural Center
1.3 of Minnesota facility in the city of St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; HMONG CULTURAL CENTER OF MINNESOTA.
1.6 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to the Hmong Cultural Center of
1.8Minnesota, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, to predesign, design, construct, renovate,
1.9furnish, and equip a building in the city of St. Paul to provide programming and resources
1.10to celebrate Hmong culture and enhance cross-cultural awareness. This appropriation is
1.11onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
1.12Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
