7 | 7 | | 1.7 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from |

8 | 8 | | 1.8the general fund to the commissioner of public safety for grants to local units of government, |

9 | 9 | | 1.9federally recognized Tribal entities, and state agencies participating in the statewide Allied |

10 | 10 | | 1.10Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) public safety radio communication system |
---|
11 | 11 | | 1.11established under Minnesota Statutes, section 403.36, subdivision 1e. The grants must be |

12 | 12 | | 1.12used to purchase or upgrade portable radios, mobile radios, and related equipment that is |
---|
13 | 13 | | 1.13interoperable with the ARMER system. Each local government unit may receive only one |

14 | 14 | | 1.14grant. Each grant is contingent upon a match of at least five percent from nonstate funds. |

15 | 15 | | 1.15The director of the Department of Public Safety Emergency Communication Networks |
