44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. METROPOLITAN REGIONAL PARKS AND TRAILS.​
66 1.6 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$20,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds​
77 1.7fund to the Metropolitan Council for the cost of improvements and betterments of a capital​
88 1.8nature and acquisition by the council and local government units of regional recreational​
99 1.9open-space lands in accordance with the council's policy plan as provided in Minnesota​
1010 1.10Statutes, section 473.147. This appropriation must not be used to purchase easements.​
1111 1.11 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1212 1.12proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of​
1313 1.13the state in an amount up to $20,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect​
1414 1.14prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota​
1515 1.15Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
1616 1.16 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
