66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97B.031, is amended by adding a subdivision​
88 1.8to read:​
99 1.9 Subd. 7.County authority to limit firearms for deer hunting.A county board may​
1010 1.10adopt an ordinance after notice and public hearing to limit the type of firearms that may be​
1111 1.11used to hunt deer within the county. An ordinance passed under this subdivision is effective​
1212 1.12for no more than one year. Subsequent ordinances may be adopted under this subdivision​
1313 1.13only after additional notice and public hearing and are effective for no more than one year.​
1414 1.14 Sec. 2. REPEALER.​
1515 1.15 Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97B.318, is repealed.​
