77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Exemption; refund.(a) Materials and supplies used or consumed in and​
88 1.8equipment incorporated into the construction, reconstruction, upgrade, expansion, renovation,​
99 1.9or remodeling of the following projects in the elementary and high schools in Independent​
1010 1.10School District No. 891, Canby, are exempt from sales and use tax imposed under Minnesota​
1111 1.11Statutes, chapter 297A, if materials, supplies, and equipment are purchased after December​
1212 1.1231, 2023, and before January 1, 2026:​
1313 1.13 (1) a new gymnasium with improved community access;​
1414 1.14 (2) career technical education space addition;​
1515 1.15 (3) HVAC upgrades;​
1616 1.16 (4) a new eight-lane track;​
1717 1.17 (5) athletic field improvements and upgrades;​
1818 1.18 (6) stadium seating and press box renovations;​
1919 1.19 (7) secure entrance upgrades for both schools with associated administrative office​
2020 1.20relocations;​
2121 1.21 (8) renovations to existing locker rooms;​

3737 2.7 Subd. 2.Appropriation.The amount required to pay the refunds under subdivision 1​

3939 2.9 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively for sales and purchases​
