66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 145.9266, is amended by adding a subdivision​
88 1.8to read:​
99 1.9 Subd. 8.Children and family interventions and supports.The commissioner of health​
1010 1.10shall administer grant funds to a statewide organization that focuses solely on prevention​
1111 1.11of and intervention with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. The grantee shall develop and​
1212 1.12implement programming or approaches to support and educate people living with a fetal​
1313 1.13alcohol spectrum disorder and their families and caregivers. The grantee shall provide​
1414 1.14resource navigation, individualized and group support, education, and opportunities for​
1515 1.15social connection for caregivers and people impacted by a fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.​
1616 1.16 Sec. 2. APPROPRIATION; FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM​
1717 1.17DISORDER-RELATED GRANTS.​
1818 1.18 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
1919 1.19the general fund to the commissioner of health for distribution of fetal alcohol spectrum​
2020 1.20disorder-related grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 145.9266, subdivisions 1 to 3 and​
2121 1.218.​
