1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to health; appropriating money for distribution to community health boards
1.3 and Tribal governments for foundational public health responsibilities.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; FOUNDATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH
1.6RESPONSIBILITIES.
1.7 $21,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $21,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated
1.8from the general fund to the commissioner of health for distribution to community health
1.9boards and Tribal governments for foundational public health responsibilities. Of these
1.10amounts:
1.11 (1) $....... in fiscal year 2026 and $....... in fiscal year 2027 are for distribution to
1.12community health boards under Minnesota Statutes, section 145A.131, subdivision 1,
1.13paragraph (f), for foundational public health responsibilities as defined in Minnesota Statutes,
1.14section 145A.131, subdivision 5, paragraph (b); and
1.15 (2) $....... in fiscal year 2026 and $....... in fiscal year 2027 are for grants to Tribal
1.16governments under Minnesota Statutes, section 145A.14, subdivision 2b, for foundational
1.17public health responsibilities as defined by each Tribal government.
