                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to human services; appropriating money for culturally specific peer​
1.3 recovery and outreach programs.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CULTURALLY SPECIFIC PEER RECOVERY​
1.6AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS.​
1.7 (a) $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the​
1.8commissioner of human services for a grant to Generation Hope. The funds must be used​
1.9to enhance culturally specific peer recovery and outreach programs, including:​
1.10 (1) expanding culturally relevant peer recovery support services to meet the diverse​
1.11needs of individuals in recovery;​
1.12 (2) conducting targeted outreach to underserved communities to increase access to​
1.13recovery resources;​
1.14 (3) providing training and professional development for peer recovery specialists to​
1.15ensure culturally informed care; and​
1.16 (4) partnering with community-based organizations to strengthen connections and provide​
1.17wraparound support services for participants.​
1.18 (b) This is a onetime appropriation.​
