55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Laws 2016, chapter 189, article 7, section 46, the effective date, as amended​
77 1.7by Laws 2017, chapter 94, article 6, section 20, is amended to read:​
88 1.8 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section, except for subdivision 4, is effective July 1, 2016,​
99 1.9and expires June 30, 2018. Subdivision 4 is effective July 1, 2016, and expires on the date​
1010 1.10the last loan is repaid or forgiven as provided under this section.​
1111 1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively from June 30, 2018.​
1212 1.12 Sec. 2. MILLE LACS LOAN FORGIVENESS.​
1313 1.13 Notwithstanding Laws 2016, chapter 189, article 7, section 46, subdivision 2, the​
1414 1.14commissioner of employment and economic development must request that Mille Lacs​
1515 1.15County forgive all outstanding loans issued under Minnesota Laws 2016, chapter 189, article​
1616 1.167, section 46. The commissioner shall modify as necessary any terms of the grant to Mille​
1717 1.17Lacs County that was made under that section.​
