1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to transportation; appropriating money for State Patrol aircraft purchases
1.3 and operations.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; STATE PATROL AIRCRAFT.
1.6 (a) $14,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2026 from the trunk highway fund to the
1.7commissioner of public safety to purchase and equip a helicopter for the State Patrol. This
1.8is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
1.9 (b) $2,300,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2026 from the trunk highway fund to the
1.10commissioner of public safety to purchase a Cirrus single-engine airplane for the State
1.11Patrol. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
1.12 (c) $1,700,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,700,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated
1.13from the trunk highway fund to the commissioner of public safety for staff and equipment
1.14costs of pilots for the State Patrol.
