40 | 40 | | 2.11of Employment and Economic Development, and key stakeholders. |

43 | 43 | | 2.14 (2) liability laws impacting insurance costs; |

44 | 44 | | 2.15 (3) minimum notice for coverage changes, including enforcement and oversight; |

45 | 45 | | 2.16 (4) public reporting of aggregated data relating to insurance plan costs and coverage; |

46 | 46 | | 2.17 (5) the reinsurance market for homeowners and commercial property insurance; |
---|
47 | 47 | | 2.18 (6) the current state-supported insurance program and the potential to expand the program |
---|
48 | 48 | | 2.19to include a catastrophic reinsurance fund and a self-insured pool; |

49 | 49 | | 2.20 (7) factors that increase claim costs, including but not limited to post-loss contractors, |
---|
50 | 50 | | 2.21fraudulent claims, climate, inflation, and discontinued building materials; and |
---|
51 | 51 | | 2.22 (8) other areas that would strengthen and stabilize the homeowners and commercial |
---|
52 | 52 | | 2.23property insurance industry. |

53 | 53 | | 2.24 Subd. 4.Meetings.(a) The Legislative Coordinating Commission must ensure the first |
---|
54 | 54 | | 2.25meeting of the task force convenes no later than August 15, 2025, and must provide accessible |
---|
55 | 55 | | 2.26physical or virtual meeting space as necessary for the task force to conduct work. |
---|
56 | 56 | | 2.27 (b) At the first meeting, the task force must elect a chair or cochairs by a majority vote |
---|
57 | 57 | | 2.28of those members present and may elect a vice-chair as necessary. |

58 | 58 | | 2.29 (c) The task force must establish a schedule for meetings and must meet as necessary |
