1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money to support Minnesota's
1.3 thoroughbred racing culture.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; SUPPORT MINNESOTA'S THOROUGHBRED
1.6RACING CULTURE.
1.7 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.8the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to a
1.9class A racetrack that primarily conducts thoroughbred and quarter horse racing and is
1.10licensed by the Minnesota Racing Commission under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 240, to
1.11support Minnesota's cultural heritage of thoroughbred racing by expanding opportunities
1.12at the racetrack for Minnesota racehorses.
