1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to economic development; appropriating money for the 2026 Special
1.3 Olympics USA Games.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; 2026 SPECIAL OLYMPICS USA GAMES.
1.6 (a) $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the director
1.7of Explore Minnesota for a grant to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.
1.8 (b) $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the workforce development fund
1.9to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the 2026
1.10Special Olympics USA Games to support activities as part of the games aimed at increasing
1.11employment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
1.12 (c) These appropriations are onetime.
