1.2 relating to education finance; authorizing a grant to the Center for Applied Research
1.3 and Educational Improvement to conduct a survey of Minnesota principals;
1.4 requiring a report; appropriating money.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; PRINCIPALS SURVEY.
1.7 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sum indicated in this section is
1.8appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal year
1.9designated.
1.10 Subd. 2.Minnesota principals survey.(a) For a grant to the University of Minnesota
1.11Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement for the development,
1.12administration, and analysis of the 2026 Minnesota principals survey:

1.14 (b) The Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement must post the 2026
1.15principals survey results on its website, file a report in accordance with Minnesota Statutes,
1.16section 3.195, and provide the report to the chairs and ranking minority leaders of the
1.17legislative committees with jurisdiction over education by January 15, 2027.
1.18 (c) Up to five percent of the appropriation may be used for grant management.
1.19 (d) This appropriation is available until June 30, 2027.
