55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 126C.10, subdivision 2a, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subd. 2a.Extended time revenue.(a) A school district's extended time allowance equals​
88 1.8$5,117 for fiscal year 2023 and later.​
99 1.9 (b) A school district's extended time revenue is equal to the product of the extended time​
1010 1.10allowance in paragraph (a) and the sum of the adjusted pupil units of the district for each​
1111 1.11pupil in average daily membership in excess of 1.0 and less than 1.2 according to section​
1212 1.12126C.05, subdivision 8.​
1313 1.13 (c) Extended time revenue for pupils placed in an on-site education program at the Prairie​
1414 1.14Lakes Education Center or the Lake Park School, located within the borders of Independent​
1515 1.15School District No. 347, Willmar, for instruction provided after the end of the preceding​
1616 1.16regular school year and before the beginning of the following regular school year equals​
1717 1.17membership hours divided by the minimum annual instructional hours in section 126C.05,​
1818 1.18subdivision 15, not to exceed 0.20, times the pupil unit weighting in section 126C.05,​
1919 1.19subdivision 1, times the extended time allowance in paragraph (a).​
2020 1.20 (d) Extended time revenue for pupils enrolled in a career and technical education or​
2121 1.21science, technology, engineering, or math course offered for secondary credit by a high​

3737 2.6pupil placed in a children's residential facility, whether the education services are provided​
3838 2.7on-site or off-site. Extended time revenue under this paragraph equals total membership​
3939 2.8hours in summer instruction divided by the minimum annual instructional hours in section​
4040 2.9126C.05, subdivision 15, not to exceed 0.20, times the pupil unit weighting in section​
4141 2.10126C.05, subdivision 1, times the extended time allowance.​
4242 2.11 (e) (f) For purposes of this subdivision, "children's residential facility" means a residential​
4343 2.12facility for children, including a psychiatric residential treatment facility, licensed by the​
4444 2.13Department of Human Services or the Department of Corrections and subject to Minnesota​
4545 2.14Rules, chapter 2960, or an inpatient hospitalization that includes mental health services.​
4646 2.15 (f) (g) For purposes of this subdivision, "day treatment program" means:​
4747 2.16 (1) a site-based structured mental health program consisting of psychotherapy for three​
4848 2.17or more individuals and individual or group skills training provided by a team, under the​
4949 2.18treatment supervision of a mental health professional; or​
5050 2.19 (2) any other day treatment program designated by the commissioner of education​
5151 2.20consistent with the Minnesota Automated Reporting Student System manual, procedure 27.​
5252 2.21 (g) (h) A school district's extended time revenue may be used for extended day programs,​
5353 2.22extended week programs, summer school, vacation break academies such as spring break​
5454 2.23academies and summer term academies, and other programming authorized under the​
5555 2.24learning year program.​
5656 2.25 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for revenue for fiscal year 2026 and later.​
