1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for Capri.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CAPRI THEATER.
1.5 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the arts and cultural heritage fund to
1.6the commissioner of administration for a grant to PCYC for the Capri Theater to enrich and
1.7expand the Capri's youth and adult arts programming and to support the theater's position
1.8as a community builder and primary catalyst for economic development in North Minneapolis
1.9through powerful, effective arts and educational offerings for youth, families, emerging and
1.10accomplished artists, community and civic organizations, and the over 20,000 patrons who
1.11visit this Northside venue yearly.
