1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to education finance; appropriating money for a grant to the Minnesota 1.3 Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs for academic assistance programs. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. 1.6 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are 1.7appropriated in the fiscal years designated from the general fund to the Department of 1.8Education. 1.9 Subd. 2.Minnesota Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs.(a) For a grant to the Minnesota 1.10Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs to support academic assistance programs: 2026.....1,500,0001.11 $ 2027.....1,500,0001.12 $ 1.13 (b) The grant recipient must use grant money to support programs designed to improve 1.14academic outcomes for youth, including but not limited to: 1.15 (1) homework help and tutoring; 1.16 (2) continuation and enhancement of the Exact Path program, providing personalized 1.17learning pathways in kindergarten through grade 12 math, reading, and language arts based 1.18on individual student needs; 1.19 (3) literacy and STEM activities; 1.20 (4) mentorship initiatives; and 1.21 (5) strategies to improve school attendance. 1Section 1.
