55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; WALLIN EDUCATION PARTNERS.​
77 1.7 (a) $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
88 1.8the general fund to the commissioner of higher education for immediate transfer to Wallin​
99 1.9Education Partners to support programming focused on college admission and college​
1010 1.10graduation for low-income students, including financial aid, advising, and career​
1111 1.11development.​
1212 1.12 (b) This appropriation must be used by Wallin Education Partners only for programs​
1313 1.13supporting students who are residents of Minnesota and attending colleges or universities​
1414 1.14within Minnesota.​
1515 1.15 (c) By February 1 each fiscal year that Wallin Education Partners receives an​
1616 1.16appropriation, Wallin Education Partners must report to the chairs and ranking minority​
1717 1.17members of the legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction over higher education​
1818 1.18and early childhood through grade 12 education on activities funded by this appropriation.​
1919 1.19The report must include but is not limited to information about the demographics of students​
2020 1.20served, the colleges and universities in Minnesota attended by students served, the high​
2121 1.21schools attended by students served, and the geographic distribution of the students served.​
