1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to public safety; eliminating the community crime and violence prevention 1.3 account; transferring the unexpended amount to the general fund; repealing Laws 1.4 2023, chapter 52, article 2, sections 12; 13. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. COMMUNITY CRIME AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION ACCOUNT; 1.7TRANSFER. 1.8 $42,000,000 from the community crime and violence prevention account is transferred 1.9to the general fund. 1.10 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. 1.11 Sec. 2. The community crime and violence prevention account is created in the special revenue fund consisting of money deposited, donated, allotted, transferred, or otherwise provided to the account.
